“The companies that survive longest are the one's that work out what they uniquely can give to the world not just growth or money but their excellence, their respect for others, or their ability to make people happy. Some call those things a soul.”  Charles Handy

Family friendly policies help both to recruit, motivate and retain the very best staff and improve the overall wellbeing of the workforce.

Drawing on an experienced team including management and human resource professionals through to parenting experts, the Family Matters Institute offers a range of services to employers that support HR policy and practice.

Some examples of our work include :

A half day workshop for any group of fathers, whether they have just had children, have been a father for many years or have recently entered into a relationship with a partner with children.  This course aims to equip dads with the practical skills, information and confidence to retain and enhance work and home relationships.

We offer a confidential audit service for employers to help them better understand their workforces demographics.  This service can be tailored to each organisation but supports employers to :

  • Enhance their understanding of employee family situations and caring responsibilities, in order to shape organisational policy and employment practice.
  • Characterise working patterns, childcare / caring arrangements, and broad financial circumstances to help shape employee benefits and support retention.

One means of developing your staff and managers is individual or group coaching.  Our qualified and experienced training and dadtalk.co.uk teams are able to offer coaching in the workplace using a range of resources to support mums, dads and carers of babies to teens.  Coaching can be customised to a particular individual or group, picking and choosing sessions most relevant and offered as either lunchtime sessions or half-day workshops.
