This course has been developed specifically for Practitioners working in Children’s centres or extended schools.

LEARNER OUTCOMES

To enable practitioners to Build and maintain relationships with parents exploring the nine ‘C’s’ of support, over the five days learners will work through the assessment criteria laid out in Unit 300.

OVERVIEW

This five day programme has been developed specifically for outreach and meets the development needs of practitioners working in Children’s centres or extended schools. Unit 300  of the course is titled “Build and maintain relationships with parents” Participants are given a framework of practice based on competency standards for work with parents and explore the nine ‘Cs of support: Connect, contract, consider, clarify, construct, convey, coach, celebrate and conclude. Learners are expected to do additional study hours to gather work based evidence with the support of their assessor, line manager or supervisor.
