This course is being fully funded by the HCC making it free to practitioners, which represents a significant investment in learners.  In order to ensure the wise stewardship of this investment and ensure that employers see the full benefit, we require all Candidates and their managers to fill out the relevant application forms online and sign and return this Candidate contract before the application deadline / the commencement of training.

FMI are intending to use an e portfolio system for this course whereby candidates will need access to a computer to upload documents and access information.

Whilst the training and assessment itself is free, candidates are responsible for paying their own travel, refreshments,  lunch and subsistence.

In order to prevent no-shows and people not completing the course, the following charges will apply:

  •     If you book a place, and subsequently cancel, your organisation will be charged a fee of £75 providing you give us more than 4 week’s notice in writing or £150 if you give us less than 4 week’s notice in writing.
  •     If you start the course and then drop out, your organisation will be charged a fee of £200 because this would preclude another learner taking up this place when places are limited, except in extenuating circumstances.

Family Matters Institute staff will support Candidates to complete the accreditation, and require Candidates to submit work within the timeframes detailed above to support this.  If a Candidate wishes to have their portfolio assessed outside of these time frames the following fees apply, except in extenuating circumstances:

  •     £275.00 + VAT (please note this is a subsidised rate)
