The role |
Family Matters Institute is looking for an administrative/Training coordinator to support and undertake all day-to-day administrative tasks including administrating and marketing of training courses and events.
FMI is a registered Charity working primarily in Christian based projects. The office location is based at Moggerhanger Park near Bedford.
The role will be varied and the candidate will be able to work on multiple tasks at any one time, which will involve the following elements:
- To support the Senior Management Team (SMT) with day to day tasks including filing, photocopy, notetaking and take telephone queries as required.
- To note take and Trustee meeting and coordinate, collate and distribute Trustees packs for quarterly meetings.
- To administrate & coordinate FMI's training courses, and annual workforce development event. Including administrating delegate bookings, City and Guilds registration, venue bookings, printing and collating of training materials & resources
- To administrate booking systems; including web-based booking systems, excel databases
- To support the promotion of activities for training and development offered by FMI
- To support day to day needs of the organisation as directed by any member of Senior Management Team (SMT)

Key skills |
ICT skills including MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint 2007
Touch typing at 30 to 40 words per minute is desirable
Short hand.
Experience of City and Guilds or other, would be an advantage
Excellent planning and organisational skills
Good communication skills
Ability to work flexibly across a wide range of contexts
Self motivation and the ability to work independently
Marketing/promotional skills an advantage

Conditions |
The salary offered will be in the range £15,500-£17,500 (pro rata based on 37.5 hour week), depending on skills and experience. This salary is based on NJC scale 13 to 19.
Minimum of 15 hours per week, ideally Wednesday and Thursday, but an additional 10 contracted hours per week may be available for the right candidate. Overtime will be given in lieu (TOIL), and is not normally paid.
