Headed by Dr Clifford Hill MA BD PhD, the priorities of the Family Matters research team are essentially practical. It carries out carefully designed surveys of different aspects of family life.

The object is to provide reliable facts about the changing patterns of the family with particular focus on the effects of family breakdown upon children.
